PROFESSIONAL ​INFO​​

After earning a BA with a major in Applied Linguistics on Translation of English and Japanese from University of Santiago de Chile, I was employed in the e-government industry for one year as a full-time translator and interpreter for CrimsonLogic Pte. Ltd. where I worked translating documents from and to English and interpreting in meetings held between CrimsonLogic’s tech experts and business consultants and Government officials from the Finance Ministry of Chile for a project called SICEX. Since then, I have become an independent translator and simultaneous interpreter.

2013-Present​
Freelance English to Spanish translator.

Worked in one of the largest localization companies in the world translating and managing projects from several high-profile companies.

2014-2015
Lead English to Spanish Translator - SDL

After working with CrimsonLogic as an in-house full time translator and interpreter I decided to go the next mile and drive my own business as a freelance translator, dedicating my time to commit to professional level assignments and assuring quality and punctuality in my assignments.

2012-2013​
In-house English to Spanish Translator and Interpreter - CrimsonLogic Pte. Ltd.

​Translation and interpreting for CrimsonLogic Pte. Ltd. and Everis, for a project called SICEX (Integrated Foregin Trade System) currently under development for the Chilean Government. More than 800.000 words translated.

2012- early 2013
English to Spanish Translation internship - Chilean Language Services

During my internship, I translated a variety of documents such as consent forms, user manuals and general information from hospitals in the United States. I also translated documents related to a more technical project related to the U.S. Armed Forces.

Universidad de Santiago. BA in Applied Linguistics to Translation of English and Japanese to Spanish

During my University studies I learned the language and the techniques needed to make a successful translation. I learned to translate from English to Spanish, as well as from Japanese to Spanish. I also learned Portuguese for two years -which I understand quite well- before choosing English and Japanese as the main roads.

With the aim to broaden my knowledge and get a direct link to the European culture, I decided to take supplementary introductory courses in French and German.
